Privacy Policy

Find Twitch Games on Steam (Chrome extension) · Effective 23 October 2026

This extension shows Steam store information for the games you see on Twitch. This policy explains what data it handles, where that data goes and why. In short: we do not sell data, show ads, or build profiles, and your Steam library and wishlist never leave your browser except to talk to Steam itself.

1. Game names sent to our lookup service

To find which stores sell a game, its best current price and whether it is in PC Game Pass, the extension sends the name or Steam app ID of the game shown on the Twitch page, and your store country, to our lookup service on Cloudflare Workers. That service forwards the query to IGDB (owned by Twitch), IsThereAnyDeal and Microsoft's public Game Pass catalog, and returns the result.

The lookup service does not store these requests or link them to you. Like any web server, Cloudflare receives your IP address to deliver the response. When the store country is set to "Auto", the service may use Cloudflare's country estimate from that address to pick the right currency; the country is stored only in your browser.

2. Requests made directly to Steam

The extension requests prices, reviews, player counts, Steam Deck ratings and store search results directly from Steam (store.steampowered.com and api.steampowered.com). If you are signed in to Steam in Chrome, these requests use your existing Steam session, in the same way as visiting the Steam store.

When the "Library & wishlist" option is on and you are signed in, the extension reads your Steam session and region cookies and asks Steam which games you own and have wishlisted. This is used only to show "In library" / "On wishlist" next to games on Twitch, and to add a game to your wishlist when you click the "Add to Steam wishlist" button. Your cookies, library and wishlist are never sent to us, to analytics, or to anyone other than Steam. You can turn this off at any time in the extension's settings.

3. Usage analytics

To understand which features are used, the extension sends anonymous usage events to Google Analytics, such as "Steam button clicked", "tooltip shown", "store link clicked" or "added to wishlist", together with the game name, the store name and where on Twitch it happened. Events are tied to a random identifier created by the extension, not to your name, email, Twitch account or Steam account. Google processes this data under the Google Privacy Policy.

4. Data stored in your browser

Removing the extension deletes this data from your browser.

5. What we don't do

6. Third-party services

Store links and "Best price" links take you to the store's own website (for example Steam, GOG or an IsThereAnyDeal redirect link), whose own privacy policy then applies. Price data is provided by IsThereAnyDeal. This extension is not affiliated with Valve, Twitch, Microsoft or IsThereAnyDeal.

7. Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date. Questions or requests can be sent through the support tab of the extension's page on the Chrome Web Store.
